QR codes encode any short string of text — a URL, a phone number, a WiFi password, or a plain message. When a phone camera scans the code, it reads that string and takes the appropriate action: opening a browser, dialling a number, connecting to a network.
The codes generated here use error-correction level H, the highest available, which means up to 30% of the code can be obscured or damaged and it will still scan correctly. That is why adding a logo to the centre does not break the code — the logo covers a portion of the redundant data.

How do I make a WiFi QR code?+−
Select WiFi as the type, enter your network name (SSID) and password, and choose the security type — WPA/WPA2 for most modern routers. When someone scans the code with their phone camera, it connects automatically.
Do QR codes expire?+−
No. QR codes generated here are static — the data is encoded permanently in the image itself. They never expire and work indefinitely as long as the destination (website, WiFi network, etc.) still exists.
What file formats can I download a QR code in?+−
PNG (best for most uses and digital sharing), JPEG (smaller file size), and SVG (scalable vector — perfect for large print, signage or professional design work where the code needs to be resized without losing sharpness).
Can I customise the colours of a QR code?+−
Yes. Set any dot colour and background colour using the hex input or colour picker. There are six quick-pick swatches for common brand colours. Make sure there is enough contrast between dots and background — dark dots on a light background scan most reliably.
Does my data leave the browser?+−
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. Your URLs, WiFi passwords and contact details are never sent to any server.
